The Process
- First Inspection
- Initial site inspection; conducted prior to approval of application
- Subgrade (if required)
- A site preparation inspection may be required if system is to be built on clay soils or bedrock
- Fee of $178 (if conducted by OSSO)
- Second Inspection
- Once system is built with components in place and prior to backfill, an inspector must visit the site
- The following supporting documents are required upon submission of inspection request:
- As-built drawing and components
- Engineer’s report (if designed by Engineer)
- Grain size analysis and weigh bills
- Third Inspection
- Prior to issuance of Certificate, final inspection is required
- Inspector to ensure that all components are in full working order and backfill has been properly graded

- Second Inspection
- Completed inspection request form indicating ‘Installation Inspection’
- Supporting documents, including:
- As-built drawings/components
- Engineer’s report (if Engineered)
- Grain size analysis and weigh bills
- Third Inspection
- Completed inspection request form indicating ‘Final Grade Inspection’
- Fee payment at time of submission (if required)
