2020 Ottawa Course Dates

The OBC Part 8 Sewage Installers Course is a 5 day course, which runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $1062.53 (940.29 + HST). The ORWC supplemental manual, lunch & refreshments are included in this fee. This ORWC course is a preparatory course which reviews the curriculum set out by the Province. We review the 2012 Onsite Sewage System Workbook (Participant) and bring field expertise to the table. Our course caters to participants who prefer the ‘in-class’ experience for learning new material or have limited exposure to construction/calculations associated with septic system projects.

Part 8 Septic Installers Course

Installers in Ontario are regulated by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH). In order to become a qualified and licensed installer in the province of Ontario the following must be completed:

  • Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing On-site Sewage Systems - 2006 Exam. Participants must register for their own exam at least 21 days before their preferred examination date.
  • Registration as an Installer with the Director of the Building and Development Branch. Registration fee is required.

To prepare for the On-Site Sewage System 2006 Exam the Ontario Rural Wastewater Centre offers a five day course. The course covers Part 8 of the OBC in preparation for the MMAH licensing exam.
